The Bigattera Center is open to the new and to Europe experiences. Wednesday, May 30, thanks to the program of development of European mobility of For.Ma, a group of coordinators and managers of vocational training from Finland visited the center and trainees. They came from the Raahe region.
Dr Ari Hannus, international affairs coordinator of the Brahe Raahe Vocational Institute training center, promoted the idea of the meeting. He had already been at For.Ma Mantova during the German Easy Mobil project meeting on mobility models European for young people with different skills in 2013; he had also promoted a European mobility exchange for two Raahe students in 2013 in the catering-curriculum services of the lounge-bar. Raahe Vocational Institute provides high quality secondary vocational education and training in the three different schools in the Raahe region (Raahe Vocational Institute, Lybecker Institute of Craftsand Design and Ruukki Agriculture Institute) and Raahe has developed several European projects since the 1990s.
Last wednesday Dr Ari Hannus went in Bigattera with Dr. Mari Kontturi, professor and representative of the Luovi-institute, the largest vocational training institute in Finland. Students and laboratories were also visited by Dr. Anne-Mari Behm, representing the European projects of the Samiedu Institute, a vocational education and training institute in Eastern Finland and Dr. Risto Virkkunen from the Kajaani Professional Institute.
After a discussion on mutual points in common with the director of For.Ma dott.Andrea Scappi, the Finnish colleagues were mainly interested in models and methods of interaction with students with different skills. They appreciated the Bigattera model, based on the inclusive practice of #agricolturasociale and they appreciated the network in the context of the Social Agriculture Lombardy project.
The meeting ended with the agreement for future mobility in For.Ma. We realized a video illustrating the strengths and weaknesses of an internship in a company that a student coming from abroad must know. The video will become the presentation of For.Ma for Finnish students of the Raahe region interested in internships in the field in the professional field and for the Finnish education ministry, to support the presentation of mobility projects in For.Ma. and in Bigattera Centre.
